These are the Organisations Making Sure Everyone Has A Meal to Eat

Millions of South Africans go to bed either hungry or malnourished; these organisations are making sure families have at least one good meal to get by.

South Africa (28 January 2024) – Feeding schemes and organisations come and go in South Africa as funding is found or dried out. Sadly, over the years, our charity list related to a single meal or huge food parcels has dwindled, and this year, it is the smallest yet – BUT there are still organisations filling the hunger gap, making sure people have food to eat.

If we have missed an organisation or charity, please email tyler@goodthingsguy.com and we will add it soonest; kindly supply the relevant links as well as which province they work in, the NPO/NGO/NPC registration details and a brief description of what the organisation does.

Please note that this is a working list, so keep sending through your charities, and we will keep adding them!

Johannesburg, South Africa (08 February 2024) – Kindness Like Confetti Johannesburg ran their annual stationery drive to help children heading to school have all the things they need for the start of the first term. A group of ladies donated handmade pencil bags, perfect for all the goodies.

A group called ‘Kindness like Confetti’ (KLC), based in Linden, Gauteng, spreads kindness far and wide! KLC is a registered non-profit organisation with six main projects – collecting and distributing sanitary products, a feeding scheme, a knitting project called The Joseph Jersey Project, a dignity bag project to support victims of rape, trauma and abuse, Project Uplift, collecting new and gently used bras for women and an animal welfare support project. There are four additional KLC branches including Cape Town, Gqberha, Knysna and Pretoria.

This year, they helped 330 children in Gauteng with school stationery and beautiful pencil bags. Tshepisong Primary School’s grade 3 and 4 classes were overjoyed by the donation received.
