When you are kind to others, it not only changes you, it changes the world.”

Our Story

Our story began in 2016 when Alyson Samson, Founder, initiated a  fundraiser in Linden, Gauteng, to collect menstrual products for girls who could not afford them. The project was well supported and a regular monthly collection was started. In May 2017 Kindness Like Confetti was registered as an NPO and as a PBO in February 2019. The Pad Princess which provides reusable menstrual products to keep girls in school is still one of our flagship projects. More projects were added as the need grew. The Joseph Jersey Project concentrates on knitting and crocheting items for the elderly, babies and the homeless.

Project Uplift collects and distributes bras and panties to women who cannot afford these luxuries. Dignity Bags are given to victims of GBV. The Animal Action campaign supports local shelters, and our soup kitchens feed the hungry. Today, there are 5 KLC branches across South Africa and our vision remains the same. To address the most pressing issues women face in South Africa, such as period poverty, gender-based violence and inequality. We create and provide deliverables that educate, uplift and empower women to become all they can be.
