Mommy and Baby Drive
Cresta Shopping Centre's Mommy and Baby drive is continuing until 31 January. Help us to collect baby items for mothers from disadvantaged backgrounds. Items will be distributed to the Far East Rand Hospital and the Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in February.

What to do with your old running shoes
Running should be an accessible sport around the world but, for some, owning a pair of running shoes is unaffordable. We've identified a few running events where children from rural villages turn up for a 5km run in flip-flops and other ill suited footwear. Help us kit them out with new and used running shoes.
January to December
New mommy and Baby Packs
The team in Port Elizabath are collecting mommy and baby items for the baby unit at Dora Nginza Hospital. Nighties, PJ's and gowns for the moms, baby toiletries, and baby knitwear required. Contact us for knitwear patterns.
14th February
KLC PTA will be spoiling the oldies at state-run retirement homes with gift bags of goodies, comfort items, spoils, baked treats, toiletries, marshmallows & biscuits and handwritten notes. Please contact us if you can contribute.
Easter 2022
1st - 17th April
The KLC in Pretoria will be collecting marshmallow Easter eggs for the golden oldies and children from disadvantaged areas.
1 hour of community hours will be awarded p/box of 48

World Menstrual Hygiene Day
Menstrual Hygiene Day (MH Day) is a global advocacy platform that brings together the voices and actions of non-profits, government agencies, individuals, the private sector and the media to promote good menstrual hygiene management (MHM) for all women and girls. Dog Sweaters for Animal Shelters
Winter 2022 the JHB Joseph Jersey knitting and crochet team are making jerseys for dogs for SPCA Randburg. Sewn fleece jerseys are also welcome to keep the dogs warm. Please contact us for patterns.
Winter Blanket Drive

Blankets are what the homeless need to survive during the cold months. The blankets and sleeping bags serve as a shield from the harsh winter nights. Contact us for drop off points in your area

18th July marks Mandela Day where you can give your 67 minutes to make a difference.

World Senior Citizen's Day
Senior Citizens Day is held annually on August 21st, which is a day to recognise the contributions older people have made and continue to make to our society. A time for the younger generation to share in the wisdom and share in their experiences that our older generation of people have.

World Prematurity Day
KLC, Mini Miracles & the Joseph Jersey team will be handing out preemie baby hampers to moms who come from impoverished backgrounds, who often feel hopeless with the new challenge of a baby. Hampers to include baby toiletries, knitted matinee jacket, booties and a hat or beanie, a soft knitted toy and a blanket. We're looking for knitters and crocheters to join the team and individuals and corporates to sponsor essential toiletries.

No Violence against Women and Children Campaign
We will be revving up our Dignity Bag campaign, reaching more women and children who have been affected by physical, sexual, psychological or economic or harmful abuse.

Presents for children from disadvantaged backgrounds will be our final project for 2022. Toiletries, games and toys, sweets and soft drinks, stationery for the new school year is most welcome.
